Common use of EXTENDED LEAVES OF ABSENCE Clause in Contracts

EXTENDED LEAVES OF ABSENCE. A. The Board agrees that up to two (2) teachers designated by the Association will, upon request, be granted a leave of absence without pay for the purpose of engaging in Association (local, state or national) activities. While on leave, teachers shall keep their certificate current by meeting the Maryland State Department of Education requirements and coursework.
