Common use of Family Illness/Emergency Clause in Contracts

Family Illness/Emergency. (i) An employee shall be entitled, after notifying his/her supervisor, to use a maximum of three (3) days' accumulated sick leave during the illness of an immediate family member living in the same house as the employee. This provision is applicable to more than one illness per year. The employer reserves the right to require a medical certificate covering the illness of the family member.
