- FAMILY MEDICAL ACT. The Board will abide by the provisions of the Family and Medical Leave Act (Public Law 103-3). This leave may not extend beyond the 12 weeks as is provided in this Act. Where the employee elects paid sick leave, eligibility for family medical leave shall begin with the onset of such paid sick leave and will run concurrent with such paid leave.
