Common use of Federal and State Protected Leave Clause in Contracts

Federal and State Protected Leave. San Xxxxxxx County will comply with applicable state and federal laws that provide eligible employees job-protected leave if an employee or an employee’s qualifying family member has a serious health condition (as defined in Section 12945.2 of the Government Code, or Section 29 CFR 825.113 of the federal Family Medical Leave Act) or specific eligible family needs. For purposes of this section, leave under state and federal laws will be known as protected leave.
