B. A driver may choose more than one (1) trip per day. Return time expected from the first trip should be at least two (2) hours before the start of the second trip unless the first trip is 10 miles or less and is expected to return on schedule as determined by the transportation supervisor. There will be no trading of trips. Absence from work due to illness, death in the bus garage immediate family or approved personal business leave shall be the only reason for observation giving up a trip. Drivers who surrender a trip for other reasons shall be ineligible for all field trips in the next full rotation unless the reason is approved by the drivers for a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours prior to trip assignmentstransportation supervisor. Ordinarily, field trips will be posted for bid the first workday The decision of the month prior to the scheduled trips. C. Field Trips/Van Drivers Vans may not be used for field trips under the following conditions:
1.) Vans may be used to transport a maximum of ten (except for golf practice trips10) unless no other regular driver is available students per field trip.
2.) Trips on vans with 1-8 students shall be posted and interested in bid on by van drivers first. If the van drivers are unable or do not choose to drive the trip; then certified coaches shall be eligible to drive the trip. If coaches do not choose to drive the trip, except the bus drivers will be eligible to bid on and shall be paid at the bus driver rate.
3.) Trips on vans with 9 or more students and/or two or more vans, shall be posted and bid on by van drivers first. If van drivers choose not to drive the trip, then bus drivers will be eligible to bid on the trip and paid at their bus driver rate. If bus drivers do not choose to drive the trip, then coaches shall be eligible to drive the trip.
4.) In case of an emergency or trips received after the weekly awarding of trip(s) any trips received shall be assigned by the Supervisor of Transportation. The Supervisor will make a reasonable effort to assign these trips to available drivers with fewer hours in cases the given week.
D. Drivers who are awarded a field trip that is cancelled will be re-assigned the trip if it is re-scheduled. If the driver takes the re-scheduled trip, the trip will not affect the rotation for new trip assignments. If the driver declines the reassigned trip for any reason the trip will be assigned to a substitute driver. Field trips where the district may seek a volunteer to drive a bus or van are limited to Bay Village community events such as the Homecoming Parade and Memorial Day Parade. The Board of last minute changes or emergencies Education shall purchase and maintain two (2) cellular phones with roaming service for the Transportation Department to be used by bus drivers when a driver is needed on a short notice they are out of less than seventy-tworange for their radios to be effective.

6. If a trip has been assigned and subsequently canceled, that bus driver shall be assigned the next available unscheduled trip.
7. If a trip requires an overnight stay, the District shall be relieved of field trips where the last rotation endedobligation of payment for any hours between the time the driver is relieved of duties and the time duties resume the following morning.
8. The A permanent record of all trip assignments will be maintained and posted in the transportation office for reference.
9. A driver that is on an extended leave more that (10) days shall be removed from the field trip roster shall rosters. Upon return the driver may request in writing to be posted in a conspicuous place in placed on the bus garage for observation by the drivers for a minimum of fortyfield trip rosters. Field Trips. Section 1. With A field trip is defined as transportation of pupils for other than regular school attendance, such as athletic events and museum trips. Shuttle transportation of pupils between schools in the exception District during normal school hours is not a "field trip" and may be assigned to any available driver.

Field Trips. 1Any Board paid field trip shall be driven by a contracted unit member. With Field trip assignments involving overtime/extra time will be rotated as equally as possible among contracted unit member bus drivers and qualified maintenance drivers, as follows:
a. The Transportation Supervisor shall establish an annual field trip eligibility list. Each driver will be placed on the exception of annual field trip eligibility list in seniority order. Field trips required for golf practice, field trips, including trips involving school van(s), will be offered in seniority order on a rotation basis. If a driver refuses a field trip, the trip is offered to the next driver. Once a driver is found, the next available field trip is offered to the next person on the eligibility list.
b. It is each driver's responsibility to cover his or her trip. A driver upon twenty-four (24) hour notice may trade or give a trip away to the next person on the eligibility list. If the originally assigned driver is unable to secure the replacement driver, s/he shall immediately notify the Transportation Supervisor, who will offer the trip in seniority order to the next driver on the field trip eligibility list.
c. Daytime educational trips will be rotated in the same manner to drivers on the field trip eligibility list.
d. If no full time or part time contracted unit member bus driver/maintenance driver can take a seniority rotation basis. For any extra field trip that conflicts with a driver’s regular afternoon elementary routeor daytime educational trip, the trip(s) will it may be offered to the most senior drivers in the rotation for that day (up to two), with any remaining field trips being assigned awarded by the Transportation Supervisor to a substitute driversdriver or vehicle driver.
e. Field trips are a minimum of two hours. Should there be an insufficient number of substitute drivers for the remaining trip(s)However, the remaining trips will then be offered to regular drivers based upon their seniority in the rotation. A substitute shall be obtained for the regular route by the driver, unless the if a trip is offered with cancelled less than seventythirty (30) minutes prior to pick-two up time the driver will receive one (721) hours' notice, in which case the Transportation Supervisor will fill the route. Such seniority rotation shall commence with the most senior driver to the least senior driver, then back to the most senior driver, etc.; the next round resumes with the next driver in seniority who was awarded the last trip hour pay for that round. No driver who has successfully bid on show up time and been awarded a field trip shall assign that trip to be reassigned another driver, but must return the trip to the Supervisor to be reassignedtrip. If a reassignment trip is made within seventycancelled after the pick-up time the driver will receive the minimum two (722) hours of a pay and this will be reassigned another trip, it may be filled in any way the Transportation Supervisor deems appropriate.

Field Trips. 1. With Field trips are those runs outside of the exception regular bus run schedule, and may be assigned by the bus supervisor on a rotating basis among all drivers who sign up for field trips at the beginning of each school year, provided they are initially qualified for the trip and can adequately handle same in the opinion of the bus supervisor. 4. Drivers who have been assigned a field trip during their regular run and the field trip is canceled with one (1) or more hours notice shall be eligible to take their regular run.
5. If a field trip is canceled, the driver shall be eligible for each lot of the next field trip.
6. To the extent possible, all field trips by seniority rotationwill be posted five (5) days, by driver’s order of preference. Such seniority rotation shall commence with the most senior driver to the least senior driver, then back to the most senior driver, etc. The rotation will commence on the next lot of field trips where the last rotation ended. The field trip roster in advance and shall be posted selected in a conspicuous place in the bus garage for observation rotation by the drivers for a minimum of forty-forty- eight (48) hours prior to trip assignments. Ordinarily, field trips will be posted for bid the first workday starting time of the month prior to field trip.
7. If a driver does not sign for a field trip within the scheduled trips. Except as provided in paragraph 1 abovestated time, certified volunteer van drivers the bus supervisor may select a driver by seniority, or sub drivers may not be used for field trips (except for golf practice trips) unless if no other regular driver is available, a substitute driver may be used.
8. If a bus driver is not available and interested in for a field trip because the tripdriver is on vacation, except in cases of last minute changes illness or emergencies when an appointment for a professional or health reason, the driver will not be charged with a refusal on the trip board but will receive a "line." A line is defined as a continuation, not a yes or a no. If a driver signs for a trip on one board and is needed in rotation for a trip on another board that conflicts with the trip they had signed for, they will receive a short notice of less than seventy-twoline.
