Final Cost Opinion. Consultant will furnish City an estimate of probable Construction Cost based on final design. This estimate is commonly known as the "Engineer's Estimate" and will be used as the basis for construction contract award. The Engineer’s Estimate must be sealed and provided by a professional engineer licensed by the State of Kansas. Since Consultant has no control over the cost of labor, materials, or equipment furnished by others not under contract to Consultant, or over the resources provided by others not under contract to Consultant to meet Project schedules, Consultant's opinion of probable costs and of Project schedules for construction may be made based on experience and qualifications as a professional engineer. Consultant does not guarantee that proposals, bids, or actual Project costs will not vary from Consultant's opinions of probable cost or that actual schedules will not vary from Consultant's projected schedules.
