Five-Year Base Re-sets for Fees and Charges Sample Clauses

Five-Year Base Re-sets for Fees and Charges. Every five years, the base costs on which fees and charges are based will be updated, by applying the previous year’s Budgeted Jail Costs to the allocation methodology as illustrated in Attachment III-1. Thus, fees and charges in 2017 will be determined using the model in Attachment III-1 incorporating 2016 Budgeted Jail Costs, and then applying the annual inflators per Subsection 7.a. Similar re-sets shall occur in 2022 and 2027 (together with 2012 and 2017, these years are collectively referred to as the “Base Years”). By March 1 of the calendar year before each Base Year, the County will provide the City written notice including a detailed calculation of the re-set fees and charges for the next occurring Base Year (excluding application of inflators, which will be provided by August 15 per Subsection 7.b above). The Parties shall promptly thereafter meet to review the information and will work in good faith to resolve any questions or issues by May 1 of such year. In the event that the County implements a new accounting system that makes it impracticable to generate the same cost allocations shown in the cost model illustrated in Attachment III- 1, the Parties agree that technical adjustments may be made to the rate model in order to recreate as nearly as practicable the original rate model.
