FOR PROJECTS WITH FUNDS APPROPRIATED EITHER IN PART OR WHOLLY FROM FEDERAL. OR STATE SOURCES The CONSULTANT for itself, its successors in interest, and assigns as part of the consideration thereof, does hereby covenant and agree that in the furnishing of services to COUNTY hereunder, no person on the grounds of race, color, national origin, handicap, or sex shall be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination. The CONSULTANT shall make every effort to comply with any Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goals which have been established for this project. CONSULTANTS who are uncertain of their obligations regarding Disadvantaged Business Enterprises for this project must obtain a copy of all relevant federal or state guidelines from the Lee County Department of Equal Opportunity. The failure of the CONSULTANT to adhere to relevant guidelines shall subject the CONSULTANT to any sanctions which may be imposed upon the COUNTY.
