Fresh Start Checking. The account must be opened in person at a Cyprus Credit Union branch. The account is for individuals, not businesses. There is a $5 monthly fee. There is a $25 set-up fee. This checking account will not earn dividends. Government checks or known payroll where fund can be verified or come from a known source may be deposited to checking account. However, no other checks may be deposited to the check- ing account. If a non-government or non-payroll check is presented for deposit, it must be deposited in the member’s S1 saving account with minimum 10-day hold. No check cashing privileges, except as indicated above. Account holders may have a zero limit Visa Debit but no overdraft (L53) limit unless creditworthy. Refer to the Consumer Schedule of Fees for the applicable Monthly Service Fee. Members with a Fresh Start Checking Account who have maintained their account in good standing and without overdraft items for twelve (12) months may apply for any of our other checking accounts. New Generation Checking – This is a non-dividend-earning checking account with no minimum balance requirement that is available only to individuals between the ages of 13 and 17. A parent or other sponsoring adult must be a joint owner. Account holders may request a debit card. Once the account holder reaches 18, the account will be converted to a Primary Checking account.
