Common use of FUNERAL LEAVE WITH PAY Clause in Contracts

FUNERAL LEAVE WITH PAY. a. In the case of the death of a mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, stepchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, or in the case of death of any other relative residing in the immediate household of a regular employee, the employee shall be allowed thirty-two (32) hours funeral leave with regular pay without deduction from his pay or accumulated sick leave. In the case of death of a sister-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, nephew, or niece of the regular employee or spouse, the employee shall be allowed sixteen (16) hours funeral leave with regular pay without deduction from his pay or accumulated sick leave. In addition, the regular employee may be allowed to use twenty-four (24) hours accumulated sick leave in the case of death of any of the above designated persons.
