Funeral or bereavement leave may be used at the request of an employee for death in the immediate family, which is defined to include his/her spouse, children, parents, or siblings, corresponding relatives-in- law, grandchildren or grandparents and “step” relatives corresponding to any of these, or any relative living in the employee’s home.
