General Disciplinary Provisions. Informal discipline can include counseling or a written reprimand which is placed in a unit member’s personnel file subject to the provisions described in the SCCCD/CSEA Agreement. Informal discipline does not require written notice of recommended disciplinary action and charges and is not subject to appeal. No informal discipline is a necessary prerequisite to any other disciplinary action, formal or informal. 1. It is the District’s responsibility to present the unit member to be disciplined with a "notice of recommended disciplinary action and charges" prior to the imposition of discipline unless otherwise specified in this Article. 2. Discipline may be recommended in accordance with this section if, in the judgment of the immediate supervisor, or other authorized administrator, disciplinary action is needed. Prior to the Xxxxxx conference, a unit member against whom disciplinary action has been recommended shall be presented with the Notice of Recommended Disciplinary Action and Charges.
