Common use of General Principles of Discipline Clause in Contracts

General Principles of Discipline. The College will not discipline any permanent employee without just cause. The College shall give consideration to due process and progressive discipline in its discipline of employees. Although each situation merits individual investigation of the facts and circumstances, the College will make reasonable effort to maintain consistency in discipline of employees. Employees will be given adequate forewarning, verbally or in writing, about behaviors that may lead to disciplinary action, except for instances of misconduct that are so severe that the employee is reasonably expected to know that it would be grounds for discipline.
