General Procedure. A. The number of days indicated at each step should be considered a maximum and every effort should be made to expedite this process. B. The failure of an employee to proceed to the next level of the grievance procedure within the time limits set forth shall be deemed to be an acceptance of the decision previously rendered. The failure of an administrator at any level to communicate his/her decision in writing within the specified time limits set forth herein shall entitle the grievant to move the grievance to the next step. C. Nothing contained herein will be construed as limiting the right of any employee having a grievance to discuss the matter informally with appropriate members of the administration, and having the grievance adjusted without the intervention of any employee organization. D. At all steps beyond step one of a grievance after it has been formally presented, representatives of the Union and/or their designees may attend grievance hearings, appeals or other proceedings required to process the grievance. E. All grievances shall be initiated on the Union form.
