GOAL OF PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINE. Generally, discipline will follow a progressive approach, which attempts to correct the employee’s less than satisfactory performance at the lowest most effective level. The District and CSEA recognize that there are some situations where progressive discipline and severe discipline are warranted. When conducive, based upon the nature of the offense, the steps delineated below will be followed.
