Government Service Leave. Leaves of absence will be granted to faculty for military purposes and for service in such federally sponsored organizations as the Peace Corps. Applicable benefits under this Agreement will accrue to leaves granted for such purposes, provided that the faculty granted such leave will indicate a desire to return to the College within ninety (90) days of his or her severance from the above service. The granting of such leave does not confer on part-time faculty a vested right to continued employment, nor to an expectation of such employment. PH faculty will not lose PH status by virtue of such leave, nor shall the taking of such leave be deemed an interruption in service for purposes of determining continued eligibility for placement on the PH list.
