Common use of GRIEVANCE OFFICER AND NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE Clause in Contracts

GRIEVANCE OFFICER AND NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE. (a) The Employer agrees to recognize one (1) Employee selected by the Union as Bargaining Unit President for the purposes set out below. (b) The Employer agrees to recognize not more than one (1) Nurse selected by the Union as a Grievance Officer for the purpose of representing Nurses and dealing with Union business as provided under this Collective Agreement. (c) The Union may appoint or elect a Negotiation Committee not to exceed two (2) Nurses, one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President, from the bargaining unit for the purpose of negotiating amendments to the collective agreement pursuant to Article 21.
