Local Negotiating Committee. (a) A negotiating committee of four (4) employee representatives appointed by the union including the bargaining unit president.
(b) The Employer shall pay representatives of the Negotiating Committee their respective salaries for all time lost from regularly scheduled hours negotiating the Collective Agreement and renewals thereof, up to and including conciliation and mediation. It is agreed that the employer is not responsible for accommodation, parking, transportation and food costs associated with the employee’s participation in bargaining. Mileage allowance provisions will remain status quo at all LHINs.
Local Negotiating Committee. (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of Negotiating Committee members as outlined in the local appendix to represent their respective bargaining units. This committee shall be comprised of the unit chairperson in addition to (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of committee members to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the Bargaining Unit who have completed their probationary period.
(b) Where the Hospital participates in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central parties.
(c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement.
(d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees seniority in accordance with this article.
(e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives when engaged in local negotiations with the Hospital.
Local Negotiating Committee a) The Hospital agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee which shall be composed of not more than nine (9) employees and which will include representation from both the full and part-time bargaining sectors. The Union will endeavour to have no more than one representative from each department per site.
b) Where the Hospital participates in central bargaining the purpose of the Negotiation Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined.
c) Where the Hospital does not participate in central bargaining, the purpose of the Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement.
d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to, but not including, arbitration.
e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Union Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any Representatives of the Union when negotiating with the Hospital.
f) The number of employees on the Negotiating Committee shall be determined locally.

This committee shall be comprised of the unit chairperson and one (1) additional committee member to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period.
Local Negotiating Committee. (a) The local negotiating committee shall be comprised of two (2) Unit Chairpersons or one Unit Chair and one assistant unit chair from the Sault Area Hospital, Service Unit, in addition to three (3) committee members.

(c) Members of the Negotiating Committee travelling from outside of Sudbury will be granted Union Leave under Article 13.01 on the day prior to and the day after each set of negotiating meetings, as necessary.

Local Negotiating Committee. (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee of three (3) members to represent their respective bargaining unit. This Committee shall be comprised of the Unit Chairperson in addition to two (2) other Committee members to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period.
(b) In the event that Local 229 and participating Hospitals decide to voluntarily bargain regionally for further negotiations, then the Union Negotiating Committee will consist of no more than one (1) full-time representative from each hospital and a maximum of two (2) part-time employees representing all part-time units participating in regional negotiations.
Local Negotiating Committee. The Union shall be represented by the Unit Chairperson and one (1) additional Union representatives to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period. A representative from Unifor may also be present to assist if required.
