Common use of Grievance to Appointing Authority Clause in Contracts

Grievance to Appointing Authority. If the employee and superior cannot reach an agreement as to a solution of the grievance or the employee has not received a written decision within the seven (7) working days' limit, the employee may within seven (7) working days present his or her grievance in writing to his or her Appointing Authority. The Appointing Authority shall hear the grievance and give his or her written decision to the employee within seven (7) working days after receiving the grievance.
