GYPSUM WALLBOARD SOFFITS. Conference rooms, Break Areas, etc.: Gypsum wallboard soffits shall be constructed with 3 5/8” x 20 gauge unpunched metal studs at 16” O.C., with 5/8” gypsum wallboard placed on exterior side of studs. Gypsum wallboard shall be taped and finished with joint compound to a Level 4 finish.
