Hazardous Materials and Exceptions. Other than exceptions permitted pursuant to 49 CFR 175.10, any articles deemed a hazardous material pursuant to DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR 171 – 180) and/or the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and revisions and reissues thereof are not accepted for transport on Cape Air. The carriage of hazardous materials aboard Cape Air aircraft in your baggage or on your person is a violation of Federal Law with penalties of up to five (5) years imprisonment and fines of up to $500,000. Hazardous materials include, but are not limited to, explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, toxic and infectious substances, poisons, corrosives, and radioactive materials.
