Common use of Health and Welfare Benefits Union Sick Leave Fund Clause in Contracts

Health and Welfare Benefits Union Sick Leave Fund. (a) The Union will undertake responsibility for the first four (4) shifts of any non-occupational illness or injury. The Union's members will contribute a percentage of their base salary each month to a fund from which will be paid benefits for authorized sick leave absences equal to their regular base salary net of income tax deductions and Municipal Pension Plan (including supplementary Municipal Pension Plan) contributions. The amount of such contributions shall be determined by the Union.
