Health Insurance Continuation. Employees “laid off” by the City shall continue to receive the above-described health care coverage benefits for the period of six (6) months following the day of “layoff” for involuntary termination of employment; except where the employee was “fired for cause,” in which case the coverage benefits shall be terminated and cease as soon as possible under the City’s policy.
