Common use of Heat Allowance Clause in Contracts

Heat Allowance. (a) Where work continues for more than two hours in temperatures exceeding 46 degrees Celsius Employees will be entitled to 20 minutes rest after every two hours’ work without deduction of pay. (b) It will be the responsibility of the Employer to ascertain the temperature.
