Common use of Holiday Coinciding with Day Off Clause in Contracts

Holiday Coinciding with Day Off. When a paid holiday (as defined in Article 14.01) coincides with an employee's day off, the employee is entitled, upon written request made prior to the holiday, to another day off without pay at a time mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer within one month of the holiday. Where such request is not made in writing prior to the holiday, the employee shall not be entitled to another day off without pay.
