Common use of Holiday-New Year's Eve Clause in Contracts

Holiday-New Year's Eve. Full-time employees shall be allowed the last half (four (4) hours) of the work day immediately preceding the day on which New Year's Day is observed off. An employee unable to be released for this time shall receive four (4) hours of compensatory time or vacation leave. Part-time employees shall be afforded time off pursuant to this provision at the rate of one-half (.5) hour leave for each full hour of leave granted to full-time employees.
