HOLIDAY PAY PLAN. 34.01 The following holidays shall be paid holidays under this Agreement: New Year’s Day Family Day Good Friday Easter Monday Friday before Victoria Day Friday preceding National Patriots Day (Montreal Unit Only) Xxxxxxxx Xxx National Patriot Day (Montreal Unit Only) Canada Day Civic Holiday (Mopar Parts and Etobicoke Unit Only) Friday before Labour Day Labour Day Friday before Thanksgiving (Brampton and Montreal Units Only) Thanksgiving Day or Action xx Xxxxx Remembrance Day (Windsor Unit Only) Christmas Day Boxing Day (Except Montreal Unit) Saint Xxxx Baptist (Montreal Unit Only) These designated days will correspond to the respective FCA plant’s scheduled days. It is understood that December 31st will be paid at time and one half for all hours worked on said day. 34.02 An employee who has completed ninety (90) days of employment, on or before the date of a paid Holiday, shall receive eight (8) hours holiday allowance at the employee’s regular rate of pay for such holiday providing the employee works the regularly scheduled work days immediately preceding and following the holiday. 34.03 An employee absent with a reasonable excuse on the qualifying day(s) will receive the Holiday allowance. Reasonable excuse will include bereavement leave, jury duty, court subpoena; scheduled vacation and Union business leave and substantiated medical absences. 34.04 An employee whose regularly scheduled shift falls on a paid holiday will receive the Holiday Allowance plus two times pay at a regular rate for all hours worked on the holiday. 34.05 If an employee signs to work overtime on a qualifying day and does not report to work, they will be required to provide (one doctor’s note) or other approved substantiation for the absence. Thus qualifying for the holiday pay.

Thus qualifying for the plus holiday pay. 40.05 Holiday pay for one day shall be calculated by using the regular wages and vacation pay in the four weeks prior to the holiday divided by the number of days worked. 40.06 To be entitled to payment for a Statutory Holiday: a) The employee must have worked his/her full scheduled hours of work on his/her work day immediately preceding and immediately following the holiday unless excused by the Employer, or the employee was absent due to: • regularly scheduled vacation; • an employee’s regularly scheduled day off; • illness and has provided a medical certificate. 40.07 An employee shall not receive Statutory Holiday pay under the following conditions: a) Where a holiday falls during an absence unpaid by the Employer, including lay-off and leaves of absence b) When a holiday falls while an employee is absent from work but is receiving other monies including, but not limited to, WSIB, or Disability pay he/she shall not receive holiday pay that, when combined with WSIB or Disability benefits, will exceed one full day’s WSIB or Disability benefit.
