Common use of – Holiday Scheduling & Eligibility Clause in Contracts

– Holiday Scheduling & Eligibility. The academic year holiday calendar will be determined in consultation with the Union. With the exception of cyclic employees, an employee shall be eligible for holiday pay if the employee has worked the last scheduled work day immediately preceding the holiday, and the first (1st) scheduled work day following the holiday, or is excused (in writing) by management, or is on vacation or sick leave due to bona-fide illness or injury or absence.
