Common use of Holidays Observed by the City Clause in Contracts

Holidays Observed by the City. The following days shall be holidays for all full-time employees other than temporary and provisional employees. If Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, the holiday shall be observed on the previous Friday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the previous Friday shall be observed as a holiday. If a holiday falls on an employee's regular day off employee shall be credited with equivalent time to either compensatory time or vacation leave.
