Human Resources Director Determination. Injury leave with pay shall be granted to any such employee only for injuries or other disabilities determined by the Director of Human Resources or designee as caused or induced by the actual performance of his position, including a personal comfort zone. Cardiovascular, respiratory, and pulmonary disabilities shall be presumed to be service- connected. The City may require an independent medical examination for any employee requesting injury leave at the City's expense. The City shall send to the employee a copy of the letter sent to the physician along with the questions the City is asking the physician in respect to the employee's examination and/or condition. The City shall also send a copy of the physician's report to the employee.
