Benefits Advisory Committee. An advisory committee with representatives designated by VSEA and the State shall meet and consult regularly concerning the operation and administration of the Medical, Dental Assistance and Life Insurance Plans, Wellness, Department fitness programs, and any other health related subjects.

a) Make recommendations on cost containment strategies
b) Study, discuss, and recommend possible plan design changes
c) Develop strategies to educate employees regarding benefit plans. The Benefits Advisory Committee will meet at least six (6) times per year. The committee will report to the Board on its work in public session on an annual basis. The composition of the committee will include up to three (3) representatives appointed by and representing the Board, one (1) representative from the Association appointed by President who is an active full-time employee, one (1) representative from each of the four (4) other employee groups appointed by their President who are active full-time employees, and one (1) person representing the retired employee’s association. The Association representative appointed to the committee shall be released from school duties for meetings of the committee without loss of salary whenever it is jointly decided to hold such meetings during the school day. Operational ground rules for the Benefits Advisory Committee will be established by the members of the committee.
Benefits Advisory Committee. A Benefits Advisory Committee of AFSCME Bargaining Unit shall be formed for the purpose of reviewing plan performance and advising the District on desired changes in insurance benefits. This committee will make its recommendations to the Superintendent of Schools and the President of the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
1. The advisory committee shall consist of three AFSCME appointed members by the Union, to include the president and three members from M-DCPS.
2. The advisory committee shall meet quarterly or on an as needed basis.
3. The advisory committee shall be provided access to all relevant and available information as allowed by HIPAA. This information may include financial, actuarial, and consultant reports, request for proposals (RFPs) conducted, aggregated data concerning wellness initiatives, and pertinent utilization data. Cost data associated with claims or utilization activity, admission rates, and emergency room visitation shall also be included. Available information related to pharmacy discounts paid to the District on a monthly basis shall be made available to the committee.
4. The advisory committee may request outside auditors, actuaries and consultants to make presentations and provide data to the committee at no additional cost to the District.
5. The advisory committee will work collaboratively to identify at least 10 health and wellness workshops to be provided during the 2010 calendar year (asthma, fitness, weight reduction, oral health, healthy eating, heart health, cancer prevention, etc.
Benefits Advisory Committee. The California Association of Professional Scientists (CAPS) agrees to participate in the Benefits Advisory Committee established by the California Department of Human Resources.

(1) person representing the retired employee’s association. Neither the Board’s or the Association’s committee representative(s) shall serve simultaneously as a member of a negotiating team. The Association representative appointed to the committee shall be released from school duties for meetings of the committee without loss of salary whenever it is jointly decided to hold such meetings during the school day. Benefits Advisory Committee. 1. Benefits Advisory Committee. The Benefits Advisory Committee (BAC) will be comprised of nurses and other hospital employees with the objective to advise human resources on employee benefit offerings. The BAC will act in an advisory capacity within its assigned scope. Committee recommendations will not be binding on administration, but the expectation is that the views of the committee will have an important influence on policies and procedures related to matters within the mission and scope of the BAC. The members of the committee should report to and seek the views of other employee groups. The President of the Local Bargaining Unit will be notified at least 14 days in advance to attend or have a designee participate in the committee.
Benefits Advisory Committee. The Board shall establish a Benefits Advisory Committee which shall include representatives of the Association appointed by the President. The Benefits Advisory Committee shall meet at least four times per year to discuss, study, and report on suggestions pertaining to the employee benefit plans and costs. Minutes of such meetings shall be available to all members of the Committee.
Benefits Advisory Committee. 30 a. The District shall pay all increases for the current health insurance plans through June 30, 2022.
31 b. The District and the Association agree that there shall be a Benefits Advisory Committee for the purpose 32 of reviewing insurance programs and making recommendations.
33 c. The District and the Association agree that the bargaining unit will be an equal participant in the 34 Benefits Advisory Committee. The Association shall have the same number of positions on the Benefits 35 Advisory committee as the District and CSEA.
1 d. The Benefits Advisory Committee shall be advisory only.
2 e. Benefits Advisory Committee will continue to meet on a regular basis in order to monitor the health
4 f. Recommendations of the Committee shall be subject to collective bargaining between the Association 5 and the District.
