Joint Benefits Committee. (1) The District will form a Joint Employee-Employer Benefits Committee, comprised of four (4) appointees each of the Association, the District, and CSEA and one (1) appointee from PAMA.
(2) The purpose of the Committee will be to consider and make recommendations to the negotiating teams regarding matters related to medical, dental, and vision benefits, including the following:
(a) To explore alternative indemnity carriers and/or modification of current indemnity benefit specifications;
(b) To recommend employment of the necessary professional advice regarding medical, dental and vision programs; and
(c) To review and make recommendations on any cost savings or cost containment measures, including brokerage/sales fees, pre- and post- admissions review, contracting with local hospitals, and utilization review.
(3) The respective parties will make their appointments annually by April 15 of each year. The first meeting will be scheduled by the District Human Resources Office; thereafter meetings will be scheduled by consensus of the Committee. Released time will be provided for the committee members.
Joint Benefits Committee. In order to achieve benefit cost reductions, or at a minimum, cost containment, the parties agree to establish and aggressively participate in a Joint Benefits Committee. The parties agree that the Joint Benefits Committee shall explore all potential options or changes that could generate cost reductions to the Benefit Plans with the following order of priorities:
(a) Options or changes that can be achieved to increase existing benefit entitlements while reducing costs.
(b) Options or changes that can be achieved without eroding the existing benefit entitlements while maintaining costs.
(c) Options or changes that can be achieved through trade-offs without eroding the overall value of the existing benefit entitlements. The Joint committee will review all aspects of the Benefit plans and the administration of the plans. To achieve a transparent and complete review the Employer will provide full disclosure to the Union with respect to all plan particulars related to CUPE Local 5167 plan members, including contracts, costs associated with premiums, administration fees and the composition of the plan participants to the extent possible, as limited by issues of confidentiality. Further, any pre-approved costs associated with the production of such information shall be shared equally between the parties. It is understood and agreed that certain aspects of this review process may involve access to confidential information and that committee members must respect and maintain that confidentiality. To ensure that the parties are motivated and fully committed to achieving real cost reductions it is agreed that all of the cost savings generated will be divided as follows: • 50% of the achieved savings will revert to the City. • 50% of the achieved savings will be reinvested, as determined by the Union to improve the benefit plan coverage/entitlement to the benefit of Employees. Where the participation of additional City of Xxxxxxxx Employee bargaining units or workgroups could be beneficial to reducing costs such participation will be encouraged and welcomed provided the individual autonomy of the participating groups is respected and the decisions made by one or more of the participating groups does not prejudice or bind any other Employee group. In addition to the foregoing the parties agree the above noted committee shall also review the current income protection plans (STD and LTD) for the purpose of identifying potential options that would benefit the parties.
Joint Benefits Committee. The University and UPTE will establish a Joint Benefits Committee that will meet at least four times annually to discuss employee benefits. The Joint Benefits Committee will review benefits plans prior to their finalization with benefits providers.
1. The University will provide information on specifications, cost, usage, surveys and evaluations of benefits plans.
2. UPTE will provide responses, identify problems and issues and any union evaluations or surveys of benefits plans.
3. The University will grant release time for up to four career employees, not more than one per campus/lab/hospital to participate in this committee. Release time is without loss of straight time pay and will allow for reasonable travel time.
Joint Benefits Committee. The parties agree to maintain a standing joint committee which will meet at the request of either party. The committee will discuss any matter related to the benefits contained in this agreement.
Joint Benefits Committee. (A) The Joint Benefits Committee shall be composed of two (2) employees appointed by the Union, two (2) members of FUNSCAD Unit II appointed by the Union, two (2) administrators appointed by the Employer, two (2) staff persons appointed by the NSGEU Staff Bargaining Unit, and two (2) persons from the Exclusions.
(B) The Committee shall monitor the operation of the insured benefit plans and the pension plan for the purpose of suggesting modifications and improvements.
(C) The Committee shall have reasonable access to all necessary information in order to fulfill its responsibilities.
(D) The Committee shall meet at least once each semester.
Joint Benefits Committee. 38.2.1 The Parties recognize that the Joint Benefits Committee (JBC) is the decision‐ making body for the negotiation and development of benefit plan design. The MSA is an equal partner in decision making on the JBC and shares accountability for the outcome, implementation, and improvements to the benefits plan. Employee eligibility for benefits and financial contribution levels by the employer remain items subject to negotiation in the Collective Agreement. If the JBC is dissolved, or its terms of reference or decision‐making structure are fundamentally changed, the Parties agree that plan design may be referred back to collective bargaining.
Joint Benefits Committee. 1. A Joint Benefits Committee was established as of January 1, 1995, for the purpose of reviewing Medical, Benefit and Dependent Care costs, issues and trends and to make non-binding recommendations for improving savings and enhancing Medical, Benefit and Dependent Care Programs/Policies and to assist employees in dealing with Child/Elder Care issues. The Joint Benefits Committee meets at least quarterly unless mutually agreed to meet more often when necessary. Direct payroll costs for Bargaining Unit members are shared equally by Local #1245 and Sierra Pacific Power Company. (Amended 1/1/03)

The Committee will consist of the Union Business Representative and four (4) Union members and the Representative of the Vice President- Human Resources and four (4) MPA employees assigned by the Vice President. Joint Benefits Committee. (a) A Joint Benefits Committee was established as of January 1, 1995, for the purpose of reviewing Medical, Benefit and Dependent Care costs, issues and trends and to make non- binding recommendations for improving savings and enhancing Medical, Benefit and Dependent Care Programs/Policies and to assist employees in dealing with Child/Elder Care issues. The Joint Benefits Committee meets at least quarterly unless mutually agreed to meet more often when necessary. Direct payroll costs for Bargaining Unit members are shared equally by Local #1245 and Company. Either party may cancel this agreement with 30 days notice. (Amended 6/11/03)
(b) The Committee will consist of the Union Business Representative and three (3) Union members and the Representative of the General Manager and four (4) MPAT employees assigned by the General Manager. Joint Benefits Committee. Both parties agree to continue to utilize the Joint Benefits Committee for on-going review of benefit programs, cost containment, and cost savings options. The committee shall include representatives from all bargaining groups.
Joint Benefits Committee. The Company and the Union are committed to ensuring that 39 employees have access to cost effective, quality health care coverage, and other competitive benefits.
