Humanitarian Clause. Should an employee, covered by this Agreement, become physically or mentally handicapped to the extent that he cannot perform his regular job, the Employer will make a reasonable effort to place the employee in a position either in or out of the bargaining unit that he is physically and mentally able to perform.

Humanitarian Clause. Should an employee, employee covered by this Agreement, Agreement become physically or mentally handicapped to the extent that he cannot perform his regular job, with or without accommodations, the Employer will make a reasonable every effort to place the employee in a position either in or out of the bargaining unit that he is physically and mentally able to perform. In the event an employee has lost seniority pursuant to section 6.3G of this Agreement and can satisfy the Sheriff that he is fit to again perform his duty with or without accommodations, he shall be given the first consideration for the next available vacancy within the department.
