iDataPlex. Title (Course Code) Parallel Debugging Duration 1 day, intermediate. Description This course will provide a comprehensive introduction to debugging using a variety of tools. Audience Intermediate users of High Performance Computing. Prerequisites Attendees should be able to programme in either Fortran or C and be familiar with working in a UNIX environment (i.e., should be able to connect to a machine remotely, use basic UNIX commands, edit a source file and understand the elementary steps in compiling object files and creating executables). Attendees should also be familiar with the material covered by the “Programming for HPC with MPI” course. Contents Following an overview of process and memory architecture basics, this course will demonstrate use of debugging tools with serial and parallel codes.
