Illness-In. Line-of-Duty: Any permanent full-time employee shall be entitled to illness-in-line-of-duty leave with pay when he/she has to be absent from his/her duties because of a personal injury received in the discharge of duty or because of illness from any contagious or infectious disease contracted in school work. Such leave shall be in addition to any other leave to which the employee may be entitled and such leave shall not be cumulative. Each employee shall be entitled to a maximum of thirty-five (35) days of such leave. Paid holidays occurring during such leave shall not be included in the computation of the number of days with respect to which such leave is applicable, provided that the employee shall be paid for such paid holidays. A substantiating statement by a physician and a corroborating statement of the immediate supervisor may be subject to the grievance procedure.
