Implications for Vacation. 31.04.01 (16 Jul 04) For employees on a 40-hour work week, when one of these Statutory Holidays falls within an employee’s annual vacation period, the following conditions will apply. Vacation period may be extended one (1) day (two (2) days for Christmas and two (2) days for New Year’s), the day(s) to be added at the beginning or the end of the vacation period as mutually agreed by the employee and his supervisor, or the employee may elect to accept the holiday pay without taking the day(s) off.‌
