Common use of Inclusion/Exclusion of New Classifications Clause in Contracts

Inclusion/Exclusion of New Classifications. The Employer will promptly notify the Union of its decision to establish all new classifications. If a new classification is a successor title to a classification covered by this Agreement with no substantial change in duties, the new classification shall automatically become a part of this Agreement. If a new classification contains a significant part of the work now done by any classifications in these bargaining units or shares a community of interest with classifications in one of the bargaining units, the Union may notify the Employer that it believes the classification should be in the bargaining unit within thirty (30) days of its receipt of the Employer's notice.
