Increments Within Range. The performance of each employee, except those of employees already at the maximum salary step of the appropriate salary range, shall be reviewed on the anniversary date as set forth in Section 5.3 to determine whether the salary of the employee shall be advanced to the next higher step in the salary range. Except as herein provided, increments within range shall not be granted more frequently than once a year, nor shall more than one (1) step within within-range increment be granted at one time, except as otherwise provided in deep class resolutions.
