Common use of Independent RTT Development (IRD) Clause in Contracts

Independent RTT Development (IRD). An Independent RTT Development (IRD) is a course which meets all OIC guidelines for approval and contains all instructional and supplemental information necessary for a faculty member to teach the course "as-is". An IRD cannot be created for an already existing RTT course. Effective Fall 2019, a course can only be taught online if an RTT exists. A faculty member may only perform an IRD if they are credentialed to develop an RTT. A department wishing to put forward an Independent RTT Development for OIC review should contact Distance Learning.
