Informal Process. (a) Prior to lodging any formal grievance, the employee and, if he/she wishes, a Union representative will be encouraged to meet with the School Principal or his/her designee to resolve the complaint. A record of such effort shall be incorporated into any subsequent formal grievance in order to establish that a good-faith effort was made by both parties prior to the lodging of a formal grievance.
