Informal Visits. A. The evaluation process begins the first day of the work year and includes all aspects of the teacher’s performance. Informal observations may take place at any time and are intended to allow for an “all inclusive” picture of the teacher’s professional work life. Informal classroom visits may occur at any time to spot- check ongoing instructional activities, assess compliance with established building organizational routines and provide a vehicle for direct communication between professional employee and administrator. As opposed to a formal observation or a walkthrough, informal classroom visits will not generally result in a formal written report and/or a scheduled post-conference unless there is a concern observed that could negatively impact a teacher’s overall evaluation. This information shall be communicated to the teacher within three (3) work days.
