Intoxilyzer Testing for Alcohol. 30.5.4.1 Alcohol tests performed under this policy will be done with an evidential breathtesting device (EBT) certified by the Department of State Police Implied Consent Unit, otherwise known as an intoxilyzer. The EBT will be utilized first if an employee is to be tested for alcohol. 30.5.4.2 A breath test will be required to determine if an employee has an alcohol concentration of .02 grams or more per 210 liters of breath. Any result which is 30.5.4.3 Any test result of .02 or greater (on both the initial and confirmation tests) will be considered positive and the employee will need to follow the Procedures after a Positive Drug or Alcohol Test Result enumerated in Article 30.5.5. 30.5.4.4 Any employee who does not provide a sufficient amount of breath to permit a valid breath test will be instructed to again attempt to provide a sufficient sample. If the employee fails to provide an adequate sample, the test will be discontinued and considered a positive test.
