Salary Upon Promotion. Except as otherwise provided herein, any full- or part-time employee who is promoted to a position in a class allocated to a higher salary scale than the class from which the employee was promoted shall receive the salary step of the appropriate scale that would constitute an increase of salary most closely equivalent to but not less than five percent (5%) of the employee's salary step before promotion, but not less than Step E of the new class nor greater than Step I of the new class. If a promotion occurs on the same day a merit increase is due and approved, the merit increase shall be computed first and subsequently the increase due to promotion. An employee who is promoted shall be considered for a merit increase when the employee's total hours, in paid status, exclusive of overtime subsequent to promotion equals 1,040 hours. The effective date of the merit increase shall be in accordance with Section 7.18.
Salary Upon Promotion. Employees who are promoted will be compensated at the higher level based on their longevity as a commissioned employee and education incentive pay.
Salary Upon Promotion. Whenever an employee is promoted to a higher classification, defined as one having a maximum salary range at least one step of five percent (5%) higher than the former classification, such employee shall receive the lowest step in the higher range which provides an increase of at least five percent (5%), except, at the discretion of the Executive Director, or designee, an employee may be appointed at any step of the range, not to exceed Step "F".
Salary Upon Promotion. Using the salary scale in effect on the date on which the promotion becomes effective, placement on the Salary Grid upon promotion shall be as follows:
(A) An employee whose grid step at his/her former rank was one or more steps below the floor of his/her new rank shall move to the floor of the new rank.
(B) An employee whose grid step at his/her former rank was within the range of steps for the new rank shall move to the next grid step in the new rank.
Salary Upon Promotion. When an employee is promoted to a classification with a higher Base Rate, the employee will have their salary adjusted by multiplying the Base Rate for the new classification as specified on the Classification System - Basic Salary Schedule by the index rate from the appropriate table and will be determined consistent with Section 8.02 and/or Section 8.09.
Salary Upon Promotion. An employee who receives a promotion from line staff to a supervisory position or class shall receive the salary step of the appropriate scale that would constitute an increase of salary at least most closely equivalent to but not less than ten percent (10%) of the employee’s salary step before promotion, but not less than the minimum salary step of the new class or greater than the maximum salary step of the new class. If a promotion occurs on the same day a merit increase is due and approved, the merit increase shall be computed first and subsequently the increase due to promotion. An employee who is promoted shall be considered for a merit increase when the employee’s total hours in paid status, exclusive of overtime subsequent to promotion, equals 1,040 hours. The effective date of the merit increase shall be in accordance with Section 14.13.
Salary Upon Promotion. An employee promoted to a higher classification shall be classified therein so as to receive at least the salary rate to match the salary in that classification next above that received in the lower classification; provided that his or her increase shall be to the rate which provides an increase which is not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per week except in the case of promotions which are to the top rate in the higher classification in which case the rate to be paid shall be the top rate of the higher classification. Further step-up increases in the new classification shall be paid starting with the pay day next after the anniversary of employment in that higher classification.
Salary Upon Promotion. Faculty Members promoted in accordance with this Article shall have their salary increased by eight percent (8%).
Salary Upon Promotion. Unit employees promoted from Solid Waste Truck Operator I to Solid Waste Truck Operator II will be promoted to the lowest step of the salary range that provides at least a 5% base pay increase. In no event shall an employee be placed on a salary step higher than the top step of the Solid Waste Truck Operator II salary range. Notwithstanding the prior paragraph, if an employee in the assignment of Solid Waste Truck Operator I is temporarily assigned as a Solid Waste Truck Operator II at the time he/she is promoted to Solid Waste Truck Operator II, he/she will remain at the step he/she was at in the temporary assignment upon promotion.
Salary Upon Promotion. When an employee is permanently assigned to a position of higher salary than a previous class, the salary shall be adjusted to the minimum of Step 1 of the new wage provided, however, if the salary minimum of the new range is lower than existing salary, the employee shall be moved to the next higher step in the range in order to provide at least a 5% salary improvement.
