Common use of Involuntary Transfer Rights Clause in Contracts

Involuntary Transfer Rights. A bargaining unit member who is involuntarily transferred under the provisions of this Article shall receive the rate of pay that is at least equal to the bargaining unit member’s rate at the time of the involuntary transfer. Advancement in the classification rate thereafter shall be in accordance with the pay schedule of the classification. The parties agree that involuntary transfers are disruptive in nature and should be minimized whenever possible.
