JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND RATES OF PAY. 7.01 Employees shall be classified and paid in accordance with Schedule A of this agreement. 7.02 If a new job is created within the scope of the bargaining unit, the Employer and the Union shall meet to discuss the appropriate wage rates before anyone is employed. a) Wages shall be paid bi-weekly via automatic bank deposits, or by pay cheque. Deposits shall be made on applicable Thursdays where possible, and payroll statements shall be available on the same date. b) If an employee informs the Employer of an error on her paycheque within twenty-four hours of receipt, and if the error is in excess of twenty dollars, the Employer shall correct the error by no later than seven working days. 7.04 If an employee who is scheduled to work is not notified one hour or more prior to the scheduled shift that she is not needed, and she subsequently reports for work and there is no work available, she shall be guaranteed a minimum of four hours wages provided she remains on premises and performs any duties assigned by the supervisor. The Employer will endeavour to hold meetings at times convenient to the employees involved. Staff and/or in-service meeting dates shall be posted at least seven days in advance. Attendance will be mandatory for all staff except those on approved leaves of absence. 7.08 When an employee is called in to work outside of her regular shift hours and Articles 7.04 or 7.06 do not apply, she shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours pay at the appropriate rate. 7.09 Employees who become ill and need to leave the workplace after having worked for four (4) hours will have the option of being paid at her regular rate for the remaining hours of her shift to be paid from her sick leave bank. JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND RATES OF PAY. 7.01 9.01 Employees shall be classified and paid in accordance with Schedule A “A” that is attached to this Collective Agreement and forms a part of this agreementit. 7.02 If 9.02 The Employer may grant a new job employee credit for relevant career service and place her above the start rate for the classification if the following criteria are met: a) the employee has a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience; and b) the Employer notifies the Union in writing. This notification shall include the experience the employee is created within given credit for and the scope level at which she is placed. For every two (2) years of work experience the bargaining unit, Employer will credit the employee with one step on the grid. No new employee shall be placed at the last step on the grid. 9.03 Movement between the classification salary levels shown in Schedule “A” is based on working one thousand (1000) hours from the date the employee started employment or attained the previous step increase. 9.04 New classifications may be established by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union Union. Where advance consultation is not practical, the Employer shall determine the rate of pay and notify the Union within seven (7) days. If the Union objects, it may request a meeting with the Employer to negotiate a mutually satisfactory rate and such request will be made within ten (10) days of the Union’s receipt of notice. If the parties fail to reach an agreement they shall submit the dispute to arbitration as provided by this Agreement. Any change in the rate of pay resulting from the negotiations between the parties or by an arbitrated decision shall be retroactive to the start date of the new classification. 7.07 All staff members 10.07 Employees who are assigned to work in more than one classification during a shift shall be paid at their straight time hourly the rate for attending staff meetings or in-service training meetings where their attendance is required by of the Employer. The Employer will endeavour to hold meetings at times convenient to classification in which the employees involved. Staff and/or in-service meeting dates shall be posted at least seven days in advance. Attendance will be mandatory for all staff except those on approved leaves majority of absence. 7.08 When an employee is called in to work outside of her regular shift hours and Articles 7.04 or 7.06 do not apply, she shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours pay at the appropriate rate. 7.09 Employees who become ill and need to leave the workplace after having worked for four (4) hours will have the option of being paid at her regular rate for the remaining hours of her shift fall into. 10.08 In circumstances where an employee's pay is in error, the Employer shall immediately remedy the problem by issuing a new cheque or making up the shortage in cash. It is understood that this applies only to a management error, for which the employee is not afforded the normal one week period of review. 10.09 Pay periods shall not be paid from her sick leave bank. The employee will state her option whether or not she wishes to access changed except by mutual agreement of the bank at the time of illnessparties in writing.

JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND RATES OF PAY. 7.01 10.01 Employees shall be classified and paid in accordance with Schedule A of this agreement“A” attached hereto. 7.02 If a new job is created within the scope of the bargaining unit, the Employer and the Union shall meet to discuss the appropriate wage rates before anyone is employed. a) 10.02 Wages shall be paid on or before the second next Thursday on a bi-weekly via automatic bank depositsbasis, or by pay cheque. Deposits shall be made on applicable Thursdays where possible, and payroll statements shall be available on the same date. b) If an employee informs the Employer of an error on her paycheque within twenty-four hours of receipt, and if the error is in excess of twenty dollars, the Employer shall correct the error by no later than seven working days3:00 p.m. Pay stubs will be available in a sealed envelope for pickup at this time. 7.04 If 10.03 When an employee who is scheduled to for more than four (4) hours work is not notified one hour or more prior to the scheduled shift that she is not needed, and she subsequently reports for work in the normal manner and there is notified that no work is available, she shall be guaranteed receive a minimum of four hours wages provided she remains on premises and performs any duties assigned by the supervisorpay.
