Common use of JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND RATES OF PAY Clause in Contracts

JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND RATES OF PAY. 10.01 Employees shall be classified and paid in accordance with Schedule “A” which is attached to this Collective Agreement and forms part of it. It is understood and agreed that employees shall be paid at the appropriate rate of pay for the classification in which they are actually working as outlined in Schedule “A”. 10.02 Employees shall progress from the “Start” rate to subsequent wages rates in Schedule “A” on the basis of their length of service, which shall be calculated in the manner described in Article 9.02. 10.03 Should the Employer create a new classification in the bargaining unit, the parties shall meet to negotiate such new classification including the wage rate. If they cannot reach agreement, the matter shall be submitted to arbitration as provided for in this Agreement. 10.04 Wages shall be paid bi-weekly on by direct deposit into a bank account of each employee’s choosing. Pay periods and pay dates shall not be changed except by mutual agreement of the parties in writing.
