Job Transfers (Rate Retention. (a) When an employee with four (4) years or more of continuous service is demoted or transferred to a lower paid job from a classified job he has occupied for ninety (90) calendar days due to a reduction of force, his rate will be maintained for a period of seven (7) weeks; however, the rate will cease to be maintained if the employee refuses to accept promotion, recall or transfer to a job classification equal to or higher than he held at the time of cut-back or lay-off.
