RELIEVING IN HIGHER AND LOWER-RATED POSITIONS. 23.01 In the event of an employee relieving in a higher-rated job, the employee shall receive the hourly rate of the position they are relieving for any and all hours relieving.
23.02 In cases where an employee is required, during a scheduled shift, to transfer temporarily to a lower-rated job, such employee shall incur no reduction in wages because of such transfer.
RELIEVING IN HIGHER AND LOWER-RATED POSITIONS.
(a) In the event of an employee relieving in a higher-rated job, the employee shall receive the next higher increment of the new position after not less than one workday, retroactive to the start of the relief period.
(b) In cases where an employee is required to transfer temporarily to a lower-rated job, such employee shall incur no reduction in wages because of such transfer.
(c) Employees temporarily assigned to the duties of supervisory personnel outside the bargaining unit shall receive, at a minimum, 10% per month more than the highest rate for his/her classification, or $100, or portion thereof, whichever is greater, if so employed for one or more workdays, retroactive to the start of the relief period. This shall not result in an employee receiving a higher hourly wage rate than the incumbent supervisor.
(d) Sections (a), (b), and (c) above shall not apply to employees relieving in a position classified as a Community Health Worker.
RELIEVING IN HIGHER AND LOWER-RATED POSITIONS. (a) In the event of an employee relieving in a higher-rated job, the employee shall receive the next higher increment rate of the new position, or a minimum increase of twenty dollars ($20.00) monthly, proportionate to the time worked, whichever is greater, after not less than one (1) work day, retroactive to the start of the relief period. Maximum increment rates in the higher range shall not be exceeded by the application of this clause.
(b) In cases where an employee is required to transfer temporarily to a lower-rated job, such employee shall incur no reduction in wages because of such transfer.
(c) Employees temporarily assigned to the duties of supervisory personnel outside the contract shall receive ten percent (10%) per month more than the highest rate for his/her classification, or one hundred dollars ($100.00) per month, or portion thereof, whichever is greater, if so employed for one (1) or more work days, retroactive to the start of the relief period.
RELIEVING IN HIGHER AND LOWER-RATED POSITIONS. Where the Company requires an employee to work temporarily in a higher classification, the employee shall be paid the higher rate for the period so employed.

If the employee is required to relieve in a higher rated position for one or more full shifts, they shall receive the higher rate for any and all hours worked.
22.02 In cases where an employee is required to transfer temporarily to a lower-rated job such employee shall incur no reduction in wages because of such transfer.

(a) In the event of an employee relieving in a higher paid job, the employee shall receive the higher rate of the new position after not less than one (1) work day, retroactive to the start of the relief period.
(b) In cases where an employee is required to transfer temporarily to a lower- rated job, such employee shall incur no reduction in wages because of such transfer.
(c) Employees temporarily assigned to the duties of supervisory personnel outside the bargaining unit shall receive, at a minimum, ten percent (10%) per month more than the highest rate for their classification, or one hundred dollars ($100), or portion thereof, whichever is greater, if so employed for one (1) or more work days, retroactive to the start of the relief period. In cases where an employee is required to transfer temporarily to a lower position classification, such employee shall incur no reduction in wages because of such transfer. Employees temporarily assigned to the duties of excluded personnel outside the contract will receive a minimum of ten per cent (10%) more than the highest rate for his or her classification if so employed for one (1) or more work days, retroactive to the start of the relief period, providing such adjustments do not exceed the rate of the excluded personnel.
RELIEVING IN HIGHER AND LOWER-RATED POSITIONS. In cases where an employee is required to transfer temporarily to a lower-rated job, such employee shall incur no reduction in wages because of such transfer. Any employee required to relieve in a higher rated job, shall get the rate of pay for the job. Unless the assignment is in writing, the employee shall not be obliged to relieve in a higher rated job.
