JOB XXXXXXX. 5.01 The Union shall appoint all Job Stewards. Each call shall have a Job Xxxxxxx; provided, that if the call is for sixty (60) or more persons, the Union shall be entitled to appoint two referrals as Job Stewards. 5.02 At the Employer’s discretion, the Job Xxxxxxx shall be a working member of the crew if less than fifteen (15) persons are working. Upon reaching a fifteen (15) person call, the Job Xxxxxxx shall become an administrative Xxxxxxx. The working hours of the Job Xxxxxxx shall be the same as his/her crew. 5.03 The Job Xxxxxxx shall be responsible to bring to the immediate attention of the Employer’s designated representative any complaint or grievance which might arise on the job. If the complaint or grievance cannot be resolved, the Xxxxxxx shall be responsible for contacting the appropriate representative of the Union for further handling of the complaint or grievance pursuant to the grievance and arbitration procedures contained in this Agreement. 5.04 Job Stewards will assist in the routine assignment of work crews for each job and shall serve as time keepers. 5.05 At the discretion of the Employer, the Xxxxxxx shall receive one-half hour of pay at the prevailing hourly rate before and/or after the shift in order to perform necessary paperwork. If the Xxxxxxx is required to report to the Employer prior to the job call reporting time, the Employer shall notify the Union of this request on the original labor call. If the one-half hour of pay is not granted, the Employer shall provide the Job Xxxxxxx the necessary time to complete paperwork within the framework of the call. 5.06 The Xxxxxxx may be discharged for just cause. The Employer will not discriminate against a Xxxxxxx for fulfilling his or her duty of Union representation. If the Union considers the discharge as being without just cause, such action by the Employer shall be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure.

JOB XXXXXXX. 5.01
10.1 The Union shall appoint all Job Stewards. Each call shall have parties agree that the following basic principles apply to the selection of a Job Xxxxxxx; provided, :
(1) The UNION requires that if a Xxxxxxx must fully protect the call is for sixty (60) or more persons, interest of the Union shall be entitled to appoint two referrals as Job StewardsUNION.
5.02 At (2) The EMPLOYER requires that the Employer’s discretionXxxxxxx be a Xxxxxxxxx who can efficiently perform his/her duties as a Xxxxxxxxx and who will not disrupt the job unnecessarily in discharging his/her duties as a Xxxxxxx.
(3) To meet the two basic principles agreed to by the parties, the it is further agreed:
(a) The Job Xxxxxxx shall be a working member Xxxxxxxxx;
(b) The Xxxxxxx shall be selected by a Representative of the crew if less than fifteen UNION;
(15c) persons are working. Upon reaching In selecting a fifteen (15) person callXxxxxxx, preference shall be given to UNION Members presently employed in the Bargaining Unit of the EMPLOYER on the specific site, provided, however, that if, in the judgment of the Representative, no presently employed UNION Member is competent to act as Xxxxxxx, the Job Xxxxxxx shall become an administrative be selected from outside the Bargaining Unit;
(d) The UNION shall have the right to replace any Xxxxxxx at any time;
(e) So long as he is competent to perform the work to be done on the job, the Xxxxxxx shall be the last Xxxxxxxxx laid off, except for the Xxxxxxx. Any Xxxxxxx selected from within the bargaining unit shall be deemed competent. When a Xxxxxxx is selected from outside the Bargaining Unit, the EMPLOYER shall have up to three (3) days to assess the Xxxxxxx’x competence and, may terminate the Xxxxxxx within these three days if he or she is deemed by the EMPLOYER to be not competent to perform the work. After the three (3) days, the Xxxxxxx shall be deemed competent.
(f) These provisions shall not apply to the work of Pile Driving where the work is performed by a small crew. In the Pile Driving crew, one
(1) in the crew shall be designated by the Representative as a Xxxxxxx;
(g) A Millwright Xxxxxxx shall be appointed by the Millwright Representative on any job where Xxxxxxxxxx work is being performed.
(h) If there is any dispute as to any of the Sections or Sub-Sections of this Article, the provisions of Article XVIII will apply.
10.2 The working hours duties of the Job Xxxxxxx shall be the same as his/her crew.

(1) Members' due delinquencies;
(2) Violations of the Collective Bargaining Agreement;
(3) Carpenters employed seven (7) days or more, who have not become members of the UNION;
(4) Disputes and grievances of members. He shall not have the authority to:
(1) Adjust violations of the Collective Bargaining Agreement;
(2) Collect any money due the UNION from any person or applicant for membership or any other person.
5.06 The Xxxxxxx may be discharged for just cause. The Employer will not discriminate against a Xxxxxxx for fulfilling his 10.3 Whenever one (1) or her duty more Carpenters are required to work overtime, one (1) of Union representation. If the Union considers the discharge as being without just cause, such action by the Employer their numbers shall be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedureregularly designated Xxxxxxx, or someone designated by him.
