Common use of Jury Duty and Witness Service Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty and Witness Service. Time off with pay will be granted for absence necessary for an employee to perform jury duty or witness service. The employee will retain all fees received. Time off with pay, unless required by applicable law, will not be granted if the employee: 1. Is subpoenaed as a witness against the Company or its interests. 2. Is subpoenaed as a witness as a direct party in the action. 3. Voluntarily seeks to testify as a witness. 4. Is subpoenaed as a witness in a case arising from or related to the employee’s outside employment or outside business activities.
